"The beats are delectable, mostly provided by The Alchemist (who is in prime form these days, maintaining a frighteningly prolific consistency) and the underrated New Yorker Daringer, verging on everything from creepy old film soundtracks (‘Turkish’) to heavy psych (‘Hound Dog’), cool jazz (‘Subzero’) country blues (‘Jaws’), classic soul (‘Ninety-One’) and hazy P-funk (‘Zambezi’).
The album, a tight-ten tracks, flows easily and seamlessly, with just enough oddball moments thrown in (the window breaking at the beginning of ‘Hound Dog’; the weird as hell animal squeals towards the end of ‘Jaguar’) to remember the quirky dude you’re listening to.
And as for Action Bronson himself, well, he can be hit or miss – with hilarious images like “Seven foot sicilians doing ecstasy / make them do the Pepper Seed” rapped in the same breath as clunkers like “I’m your b*tch’s first selection when it comes to penis.” But really, who’s counting? By the crooning sax solo at the end of 'Storm Of The Century', you’ll just want to go back for more." - Clash Music Reviews
