Originally released in 2005, The Healing Process is the second full-length album from Montreal, Quebec deathcore heavyweights Despised Icon. The album builds on the band’s brutal mix of death metal, hardcore, and grindcore, combining crushing guitar riffs, relentless blast beats, breakdowns, and the distinctive dual-vocal attack of Alex Erian and Steve Marois.
Featuring fan favorites such as “Furtive Monologue,” “Immaculate,” and “Warm Blooded,” The Healing Process helped define the sound of early deathcore and remains an essential release for fans of extreme metal.
